A tour of Georgia O’Keeffe’s historic adobe home and studio offers an experience of the environment in which she lived and worked.
The house inspired more than two dozen paintings: a door through the patio wall attracted her attention on a daily basis and she painted it more than twenty times. Similarly, the cottonwood trees, growing in the Chama River Valley below her studio, were the subject of more than two dozen paintings.
Tours are offered March – November, Tuesdays – Saturdays. The tours begin at the Tour Office located at The O’Keeffe: Welcome Center, located 60 miles northwest of Santa Fe in Abiquiú, NM.
