Established in 1897, the Society of Arts and Crafts has been at the forefront of the American craft movement, fostering the development, sales, recognition, and education of crafts for over one hundred years.
The Society sponsors exhibitions, the Artist Awards Programs, and educational programming. The work of over 400 craft artists are displayed on an ongoing basis.
The Society provides economic opportunities to artists in various ways, including Retail and Exhibitions Galleries. Walk through exciting installations of contemporary craft, engage with a visiting artisan in the Artist in Residency studio, learn about various materials and techniques. Support craftspeople: works are available for purchase.
