Located at the base of the Space Needle, and providing a look at the inspiration and influences that inform the career of artist Dale Chihuly, the1.5 acre  Chihuly Garden and Glass Exhibition includes eight Galleries, the centerpiece Glasshouse, and a lush Garden.

Together, these spaces offer a comprehensive collection of Dale Chihuly’s significant series of work. The artworks demonstrate how he has pushed the boundaries of glass as an art medium in concept, execution and presentation.

When the owners of the Space Needle invited Dale Chihuly to present a comprehensive collection of his work at this location,  he was delighted with the opportunity to design an Exhibition Hall, a Garden installation and a Glasshouse in his own community.  Starting with repurposing an existing building for the Exhibition Hall, he added a garden space and designed a glass house as the centerpiece of the project. Chihuly chose specific artworks from his career and created new sculptures for the site.
