The South Boston-Halifax County Museum of Fine Arts and History is operated for the collection, exhibition, and preservation of historically significant antiques, works of art, books, and other objects.
With more than 15,000 square feet of space, the museum promotes the heritage and the future of South Boston, Halifax County and nearby counties, encouraging research and hosting exhibitions relating to the area. Numerous permanent exhibitions are augmented with rotating exhibits of work by local artists.
