In 1915, E.L. Blumenschein, Bert Phillips, Joseph Henry Sharp, Oscar E. Berninghaus, E. Irving Couse and W. Herbert "Buck" Dunton, created the Taos Society of Artists.
This small museum in the Blumenschein family home illustrates the lifestyle of Taos artists in the first half of the twentieth century.
Today it is filled with a collection of the Blumenschein family's art, works by other famous Taos artists, fine European and Spanish Colonial style antiques, and the family's personal possessions. The building is a registered National Historic Landmark.
