Dedicated to the works of Walter Inglis Anderson (1903–1965), an American artist whose art focused on the plants, animals, and people of the Gulf Coast, and to his brothers Peter Anderson (1901–1984), master potter, and James McConell Anderson, (1907–1998), painter and ceramist.
Dedicated in 1991, the Museum combines the public side of Walter Anderson's artwork, the Ocean Springs Community Center Murals, with the private, The Little Room art treasures, discovered after his death in 1965.
