Baum Gallery of Fine Art at the University of Central Arkansas' collection focus is on works that represent art historical examples of content, media, movements, or eras of production. Interests include ceramic; computer-generated graphic and digital work; drawing; mixed- and multi-media; installation; painting or aqueous media; photography; printmaking and sculpture.
The Gallery holds a varied collection that includes 112 paintings by Dorris Curtis, 74 wooden relics and small sculptures from West Africa; 34 drawings, mural cartoons, and paintings by Louis and Elsie Freund; and 270 works by former UCA art professor Gene Hatfield and other Arkansas artists. Most of the collection is held in storage.
Temporary exhibitions are mounted during the academic year, September – May.
