Set on a Pacific lagoon, the Art Museum at U.C. Santa Barbara houses two primary collections: more than 8,500 works of art and architectural drawings; and more than 1,000,000 drawings and 250 archival design-related materials .
The fine art collection includes Old Master paintings and drawings, Renaissance medals and plaquettes, American realist prints, photography, and a growing collection of contemporary artwork in all media.
Contemporary holdings focus on artists active in California, particularly in the Santa Barbara community.
