Originally a museum without walls, starting in 1972, MOPA now is a 32,000 square foot facility housed in historic building. the museum showcases photographic art spanning the history of photography from the 19th century to the present day, plus film and video.
The collection of more than 7,000 images includes works by Margaret Bourke-White, Alfred Stieglitz and Ruth Bernhard, among 850 other photographers.
The museum is also home to a state-of-the-art movie theater.
