Founded by artists in 1928, SculptureCenter is a not-for-profit arts institution dedicated to experimental and innovative developments in contemporary sculpture. SculptureCenter commissions new work and presents exhibits by emerging and established, national and international artists.
Located in the NYC boro of Queens, and housed in a re-purposed former trolley-repair shop, the museum includes 6,000 sq ft of interior exhibition space and a 3,000 sq ft outdoor exhibition space.
The facility solidifies SculptureCenter's commitment to the exhibition of pioneering works by emerging and established, national and international artists, and to assisting emerging young sculptors by championing their work.
