A non-collecting organization, the Silvermine Arts Center complex encompasses a sculpture garden and five galleries, presenting contemporary exhibitions and sponsoring prestigious regional and national competitions.
Silvermine Galleries organize a schedule of more than 20 shows each year. The annual exhibition calendar includes one-person, two-person and group shows of Guild Artists' work; Director's Choice exhibitions of invited artists; a rotating roster of national juried exhibitions focused on Craft Arts, Photography and Printmaking; the annual juried Silvermine School of Art student exhibition, and the highly regarded Art of the Northeast Juried Exhibition, which began in 1949.
Museum is a member of the Connecticut Art Trail, a partnership of 18 museums and historic sites. The Art Pass, which is good for a year, includes one-day admission to each museum.
