In addition to displaying the permanent collection from Asian and European masters of the past, IAMA presents temporary exhibitions in two galleries, the Lightspace Gallery and the #tendergold Gallery.

The quarterly rotating exhibit, Light Space,  presentshe works of experienced and established artistsm from photography to mixed media, sculpture, and installation art.
The #tendergold Gallery pays homage to the ever-so-funky neighboring Tenderloin District. While it can undeniably be seen as dark and gritty, it also hosts some of San Francisco's most exciting underground art scenes and nightlife. #tendergold celebrates this by bringing art to the light of day from emerging artists, both internationally and from the Bay Area.
